How does it work?

Red Dog Ranch™ is offering weekly fresh produce boxes during our growing season. (or, what some people refer to as "CSA") For a small family; a fixed weekly cost of around $35 gets you a box of produce.

An example of a weekly produce box:

1 hd. Lettuce
2 lb. Heirloom Tomatoes
½ lb. Sugar Peas
1 lb. Fava Beans
1 bunch Beets
1 bunch Carrots
1 bulb Garlic
1 Fennel Root
2 Lemon Cucumber

We currently have over 100 varieties of Heirloom Fruits, Vegetables, and Flowers growing in our fields. Please see our '2010 Crop List' for a complete list. [click here]

When does it start?

Our growing season is approximately 20 weeks long - late June through late-October; hence, we estimate deliveries to start around July.

Throughout the season, as our crops rotate, weekly deliveries will vary by size and types of produce, reflecting local growing seasons and conditions.

How much does it Cost?

. Individual Package (1 person) $25/week

. Small Family Package (1-2 persons) $35/week

. Large Family Package (3-4 persons) $45/week

These prices are approximately 15% cheaper than what you'd pay at Farmers' Market!

Payment terms are flexible: pay per delivery (COD), or per the month.

Deliveries will be done Wednesday mornings to your doorstep. (Again, only in the Sea Ranch/Gualala area)

Why Red Dog Ranch™?

Red Dog Ranch™ is committed to pure, chemical-free farming. Did you know "Certified Organic" farms can still use chemicals like Round-Up or Pyrethrins, which are toxic to humans! We use only natural pesticides like garlic, chili, vegetable & citrus oils, diatomaceous earth, and soapy water.

All our produce starts with seeds that are 'old-world', called "Heirloom." These varieties, in our opinion, have the best flavor as compared to the super-market vegetables which are grown for harvestability and longer shelf life. Irrigation for our fields come from natural springs and tributaries that flow through the Ranch.
